Zion’s Legacy of Love recently delivered holiday gifts to children at Zion Gibb’s old daycare, Heavenly Haven I, continuing the foundation’s mission of spreading compassion, comfort, and love to children during the holiday season.

The toy delivery was the result of the organization’s Second Annual Toy Drive and reflected the heart of the foundation’s purpose—turning love into action. Children, often referred to as “little angels,” were all smiles as they received thoughtful gifts chosen to bring joy, warmth, and a sense of care during the holidays.
Photos from the delivery captured moments of happiness and connection, highlighting the importance of community support and kindness during the season. Photo credit for the images goes to Heavenly Haven I.
Zion’s Legacy of Love is a nonprofit organization named in honor of Zion, a seven-year-old boy whose life was tragically taken in a drive-by shooting. Though his life was short, Zion’s loving and caring nature left a lasting impact. His mother carries Zion’s spirit at the center of the organization, ensuring that his kindness lives on through service, generosity, and love for others.
The foundation’s Second Annual Toy Drive was held in the weeks leading up to the holidays, with toy collection running through December 21, 2025. Community members were invited to donate new toys at local drop-off locations, including Cumberland Road Fire Station 5 and Sherwin-Williams on Hope Mills Road in Fayetteville.
Donations from the toy drive were designated to support children at Heavenly Haven I, UNC Children’s Hospital PICU, and Bright Young Minds Academy. Community members also had the option to give online using a QR code or by contacting the foundation directly.
Zion’s Legacy of Love continues to honor Zion’s memory by transforming grief into purpose and compassion into action. Through initiatives like the annual toy drive, the organization remains committed to uplifting children, supporting families, and reminding the community that love can always be louder than loss.
